Kelowna’s Haven Sleep Products is donating mattresses to the Bahamas in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.

The company is partnering with HGTV’s Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, whose top-rated show, Island of Bryan, has been filming episodes of its second season in the Bahamas. Haven supplies mattresses to Caerula Mar, the luxury resort where the television program is filmed.

The resort wasn’t directly affected, but many of the staff members and their families are still dealing through the loss of life and property, which is why Haven and the Baemlers stepped up with donations.

“Giving back to those who need it is a core value of our team, and Haven is honoured to donate our products to those who really need something as important as sleep,” Haven CEO Scott Amis said in a press release.

Haven started in 2015 as Canada’s first social impact mattress company, where one mattress is donated to charity for each 10 that are sold.
