The housing market has been slowing down across B.C. and the rest of the country over the last few months.
The same cannot be said for what’s happening at Predator Ridge Resort, where The Commonage development features lots with spectacular views that are proving to be just too alluring.
Phase 3 homes in The Commonage are now on the market, and they are moving.
“We’re having great success with phase three of The Commonage, and I guess the biggest distinction between phase one and phase two in The Commonage is the advantage that phase three has,” Predator golf and real estate specialist Dick Zokol says. “They have some beautiful views of Kalamalka Lake, and because it’s at a higher level there’s just some stunning views of the mountain range.
“Not that all our lots are this, but we have sold one lot in phase three for 1.25 million dollars, which in this economy is remarkable to be able to say that.”
Predator put 58 lots from Phase 3 on the market about a month ago, and it has already sold 12 of them. There are also a handful of Phase 1 and 2 homes that are still available.
“There’s some instant value to gain immediately, because in order to replace those homes at today’s construction costs they would be more than a million dollars,” Zokol says of the homes that are in the $800,000 price range. “And also we’ve incentivized them that if you come and take a look at the homes, the price includes all the furniture that’s staged in the homes.”
Predator Ridge is inviting the public to attend its next Open House Social, on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. Five of the resort’s chefs will be producing fare that features some of the Okanagan’s freshest produce. Valley wines will also be served.
Some of the neighbourhood’s residents will also be on hand at one of the six showhomes to share with visitors the highlights of Predator Ridge living.
“We like it when guests of Predator Ridge, or people that are looking at Predator Ridge, come and engage with our residents,” Zokol says.
“We welcome people to come on out and enjoy the fare, enjoy the wine and particularly enjoy the people in the community.”
