The Okanagan is a buzzing beehive of activity in the summer, which means the Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort, in the heart of downtown Kelowna, is the region’s hot spot, attracting visitors from around the world.
The Delta Grand, as it’s known in the Okanagan, is the valley’s premier hotel and resort, and is doing its part as the region strives to become a four-season destination.
“Elevating customer awareness of our beautiful city and region continues to be a focus,” Delta Grand sales and marketing director Shannon Bruckshaw says. “While the summer months are an amazing time to visit, Kelowna is a four-season destination with many activities to be enjoyed year-round. From hiking and snowshoeing to skiing and skating, Kelowna provides unique and exciting travel experiences throughout the year.
“Our resort programming is activated year-round, providing our guests with many amenities and benefits while staying at our resort.”
OAK + CRU Social Kitchen and Wine Bar, which is located in the resort’s lobby, overlooking Okanagan Lake, is a popular spot throughout the year attracting visitors and locals alike. Chef David Foot recently launched the new happy hour menu that will be offered during the fall and winter season.
“It’s a pretty cool menu,” Bruckshaw says. “Everything is meant to be shared. Items on the menu are brought to the table in stackables, encouraging conversation and excitement. With each item offered at eight dollars, the experience provides tremendous value.”
Some of the menu items that look particularly delectable include Hoisin chicken bao buns and Ginger Napa Cabbage, root vegetable fries, and prawns and Tyrolean bacon with peach mustard.
In addition to the stylish hotel rooms and suites with deluxe amenities—many have balconies—the on-site, full-service luxury spa makes for a perfect staycation, and the outdoor hot tub is always a fun place to spend a night in the cool winter air.
The Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort is a sponsor of Soft 103.9’s Soft Escapes contest. This week someone will win two nights’ accommodation and a $150 gift certificate to OAK + CRU.
