Road 13 Vineyards is celebrating after being awarded Platinum at the Wine Align’s National Wine Awards.

The Golden Mile Bench winery received the award for their Marsanne, a blend made up of 94% Marsanne, 4% Roussanne, 2% Viognier.

The 2017 Marsanne  is now recognized in the top 1% of wine in Canada with the Platinum award in the category of Other Single White Varieties.

Held annually in June, the National Wine Awards of Canada (NWAC) are only open to wines grown and produced in Canada. The goal of the awards is to expose Canadian wine drinkers to the best wines in the country. This year, the awards were held in Wellington, Ont. and saw 1,815 entries from 259 different wineries spanning eight provinces.

The Platinum wasn’t the only award Road 13 Vineyards took home at the event, they were also awarded 14 additional medals including one gold, four silver, and nine bronze.

Road 13 Vineyards was recognized as a Top 12 winery in Canada and Top 10 in British Columbia.
