The Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association (KCBIA) has issued a request for proposals to help identify adequate video security surveillance coverage for the downtown core.

The KCBIA represents approximately 750 businesses and 350 commercial properties in the downtown core, which includes major employers, family-owned businesses, and services. The Association is interested in identifying and introducing various initiatives that support safety and social issues throughout the downtown business area.

One strategy includes exploring technology options to deter criminal behaviour by recording all inappropriate activities for police investigations.

KCBIA is asking its members to participate in the request for proposals by September 3 at 12 p.m.
