Fans of the popular Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) will be happy to know they can get their hands on the tasty drink this month, much earlier than in past years.

According to a report by Business Insider, the iconic fall drink will hit store menus on August 27, although the company has yet to officially announce the launch date. This is the earliest launch date of the drink. Starbucks generally launches the beverage around the Labour Day weekend, but it appears the latte will be a week earlier than usual.

The hype around Starbucks’ PSL has encouraged other brands to jump on the pumpkin bandwagon including Tim Hortons, who launched a Pumpkin Spiced Ice Capp in 2018. According to a recent Nielson study, pumpkin-flavoured items are growing at a steady rate and there was a 15.5 per cent increase in pumpkin related sales in 2018.

The drink made its debut on the Starbucks menu in 2011, marking the beginning of the company’s fall menu.
