Okanagan coLab is gearing up for its upcoming Hot Seat event which will see aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their ideas in front of an audience of veterans in the field.

Hot Seat is designed to provide entrepreneurs with valuable feedback on their ideas from those who have previously been in their shoes.

This year’s panel will include software executive and veteran investor Grant Lawerence, serial entrepreneur Justin Goodhew, and Director at Founder Institute, Todd Embley.

Those interested in event submitted their pitches in no more than 35 words, and of those applicants, only five have been chosen to speak on August 22. Each applicant will be limited to five minutes to pitch their idea and will receive five minutes of feedback from the panel.

Each participant will have their name placed in a hat and will be drawn at random to be in the ‘Hot Seat.’

Spectators are welcome to attend the free event, but are asked to register on Eventbrite.
