(L to R): Russ Latimer, Jack Newton, YMCA of Okanagan’s Rhonda Zakala and Tyrel Griffith.

Melcor Developments Ltd. has given back to the YMCA of Okanagan in an effort to assist the organization with child care, health programs, swim lessons and memberships for local underprivileged children.

Melcor raised $9,000 in 2018 through its charitable events, and it recently handed a cheque over to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.

“The YMCA of Okanagan is doing great work in our community and we are proud to support them,” Melcor Developments Kelowna regional manager Andrew Bruce said in a press release. “We are committed to building communities that enrich quality of life—communities where people live, work, shop and play, and the Y helps to keep these communities healthier, more connected, and ultimately stronger.

“We are also extremely proud of the funds raised by our team at Black Mountain Golf Club, the residents of BlueSky and individuals like Jack Newton who hosts a golf tournament supporting Strong Kids.”
