JoJo will be one of the camp’s guest artists.

A Kelowna high school student was the lone Canadian selected to participate in the 15th annual Grammy Camp in Los Angeles this summer.

Hudson Bikichky, a student at Immaculata Regional High School, will be with 89 American students at the event that bills itself as the “signature music industry camp” for U.S. high school students.

Bikichky will specialize in electronic music introduction at the camp, which takes place between July 23 and July 27 at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.

The camp focuses on all aspects of commercial music, providing instruction from industry professionals in an immersive, creative environment with cutting-edge technology in professional facilities.

The Head and the Heart, an American indie folk band, and JoJo, an American singer, songwriter and actress, will be the guest artists at this year’s camp.
