Kelowna’s BC Tree Fruits Cider Co. is releasing a new line of beverages for the summer.

M.O Fruitsecco comes in three unique craft infusions: Sparkling Dry, Sparkling Rosé and Sparkling Basil. Each is gluten-free, has zero refined sugars, and is low in both calories and carbohydrates.

“We are excited to introduce this unique product to the consumer just in time for summer,” cidermaker Nadine Harrison said in a press release. “Each different product features only local ingredients and delivers an exciting new drinking experience that will be unlike any other.”

Sparkling Dry features four apples, one lavender sprig and soda water. It is 118 calories and has an alcohol content of five per cent. Sparkling Rosé features three and a half apples, nine cherries and soda water and is 110 calories with a 4.8 per cent alcohol content. Finally, Sparkling Basil features four apples, one basil leaf and soda water. Like Sparkling Dry, it is 118 calories and has a five per cent alcohol content.

“It was our goal to develop an authentic, bold and uncommon product for the consumer to enjoy in the ready-to-drink category,” BC Tree Fruits Cider Co. general manager Michael Daley. “M.O Fruitsecco delivers on that goal with three products that use local fruits and are infused with natural ingredients such as lavender and basil.”

The Sparkling Rosé is available in B.C. government liquor stores, select private liquor stores and grocery locations, while the Sparkling Dry and Sparkling Basil are in private stores and grocery locations in B.C. and Alberta.

Each product is sold in a four-pack of 355-millilitre cans and is available now.
