The North Okanagan Regional District held a public hearing on the retail sale of marijuana, but no one seemed to care.

Not a single person attended, but the district says it received a letter from one woman concerned about the use of agricultural land for cannabis.

The public hearing was to get feedback on changing a bylaw to allow the retail sale of pot in three electoral areas in the North Okanagan and to change the definition of cannabis to one that reflects new legislation.

The hearing closed after five minutes.
