Tourism Vernon wants to know how it’s doing.
The agency is conducting an online stakeholder survey to assess satisfaction with its services.
The survey asks such questions as: how familiar people are with Tourism Vernon’s services and programs, if they understand what Tourism Vernon does, what opportunities they would like Tourism Vernon to consider and general satisfaction with its operation.
Spokesperson Angeline Chew says the survey is a requirement of the new regional hotel room tax, which increased from two to three per cent.
The questionnaire takes about 15 minutes to complete, and responses are anonymous.
The survey period is expected to wrap up at the end of April, and is open to all in the local tourism industry and related businesses.
“We want to make sure we meet the needs of our stakeholders and are going in the right direction,” Chew said.
Those who complete the survey could receive free racking for their business for a year at the Tourism Vernon Visitor Information Centre or a free listing in the 2020 Visitor’s Guide.
