Kelowna has dropped back down to the seventh spot when it comes to the most expensive Canadian cities in which to rent an apartment.

The price of a one-bedroom flat, the figure on which the cities are ranked, dropped 1.5 per cent in March to an average of $1,320, according to Padmapper. That allowed Barrie, Ont., which had a 2.3 per cent increase last month, to move up to the sixth most expensive Canadian city in which to rent.

The average price for a two-bedroom apartment in Kelowna in March is $1,600, which is the same as it was in February, but 2.4 per cent less than it was in March 2018.

While the price of a two-bedroom unit has dropped over the last two years, the one-bedroom price has not. It is 14.8 per cent more expensive than it was last March.
