The Central Okanagan Tourism Industry Showcase is back for a fourth year, and hiring will be a big focus of the event.

Tourism Kelowna is hosting the event next Tuesday, March 5, at the Laurel Packinghouse between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The District of Lake Country, City of West Kelowna and Destination Peachland will also be represented.

There will be 40 vendors set up on the tradeshow floor, including hotels, tour operators and other small businesses, to give them a chance to network leading up to the 2019 tourism season. There will also be an on-site workshop focused on digital readiness.

The hiring fair part of the showcase is new this year and is being offered as the result of a partnership with go2HR, which is B.C.’s tourism industry human resource association.

It’s free for the public to attend, giving people a chance to meet with potential employers on site.
