Dale Sivucha has had the interim tag removed from his title with the Kelowna Hotel Motel Association.

Sivucha, who is the Coast Capri Hotel general manager, was named interim president of the association in October, and he became president on Feb. 7 when the KHMA held its annual general meeting.

The new board of directors was also elected during the meeting. Holiday Park Resort’s Don Culic will serve as vice-president, while Casa Loma Lakeshore Resort’s Heather Schaub returns as treasurer.

Natalie Corbett of Accent Inns Kelowna was named secretary, and there are three returning directors: Christa Park (The Royal Anne Hotel), Meg McManus (Sandman Hotel & Suites Kelowna) and Melanie Atkins (Hotel Zed Kelowna).

Rosemary Patterson, who is with Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites, is the organization’s past president.

The KHMA acts as a liaison to facilitate, develop and support the business initiatives affecting the accommodation sector in Kelowna. It works with the city, Tourism Kelowna, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and other organizations, associations, and institutions involved with the industry.
