A Kelowna company won a prestigious award for the second straight year at last week’s Canadian Cannabis Awards.

Vitalis Extraction Technology won the national top extraction equipment award for the second year in a row. The company specializes in producing industrial-scale, supercritical carbon dioxide extraction equipment.

“As a technology company with great respect for those in the extraction equipment space, it is quite an honour to win this award,” Vitalis co-founder and COO Pete Patterson said in a press release. “It has been a year of growth and change for us, and we could not be more pleased to accept this as recognition of our entire team’s dedication to innovation and excellence.”

The award comes on the heels of Vitalis receiving American Society of Mechanical Engineers certification, making it Canada’s first and only such facility.
