Those who work out of their homes in Vernon now have a place to go if they want to get out of the house.

Stephanie Tambellini, who has operated a graphic design and marketing agency out of her home for the last 15 years, has opened a co-working space in the North Okanagan city. Small business professionals who want to get out of the house or meet with clients can now rent a space for a certain period of time.

“There are a large number of people in Vernon who could use a space to work in that isn’t their kitchen table or basement,” Tambellini said in a press release. “This gives them an affordable option to get out of the house and to do so in a great environment with other like-minded individuals.”

Tambellini’s business has expanded her business to a team of four graphic designers, so she opened an office space that she will now share with others as a coworking space. The office, which is located in Alpine Centre on Kalamalka Lake Road, is 1,600 square feet, the open floor plan features a meeting room, and there are two bathrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, a small kitchen and coffee station, free parking, and 12 desks—eight of which are available for rent.
