It is almost a month until opening day at Big White, and the ski resort is putting the off-season finishing touches in place.

The powder chairlift towers are being flown into place this weekend, and the new skier tunnel is nearly complete. The first day of action on the mountain will be Thursday, Nov. 22.

Pre-season rates, which include adult passes for $729, are available until opening day.

One of the first events of the season will be the 11th annual Big Red at Big White, featuring a wide selection of handcrafted Okanagan wines. It will be held Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.
