The 2018 Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce awards were announced Saturday night at a ceremony at Lakeside Resort.
The awards are handed out annually in a variety of categories and are intended to honour the successes of local businesses.
This year, 15 categories were honoured.
They were as follows:
Business of the Year: Save-on Foods
Business Leader of the Year: David Kampe
Young Business Leader of the Year: Cameron Betts
Most Valuable Employee: Liz Murphy of Hoodoo Adventure Company
New Business Award: NuVista Chiropractic and Wellness
Community Impact Award: South Okanagan Immigrant & Community Services
Community Volunteer of the Year: Tracy Van Raes
Firm to Glass Award: Cannery Brewing
Health and Wellness in the Workplace Award: Valley First Credit Union
Non-Profit Organization of the Year: YES Project
Newsmaker of the Year: South Okanagan Events Centre
Tourism Excellence Award: Penticton Farmers Market
Service Excellence Award: Boyd Autobody & Glass
Workplace Culture Excellence Award: Penticton Lakeside Resort
Sustainable Resource Industry Award: Ogopogo Tours
