There are only a few more weeks left this season to get out to the new cidery that opened its doors in Armstrong this past June.

Farmstrong Cider Company has already made a name for itself across the North Okanagan.

“It’s been fantastic,” Farmstrong Cider Company co-owner Halee Fried said. “We’ve had a great response from locals and tourists alike, and we’re all having a great time figuring this all out.”

The idea for a cider company started in 2016 and being they are a farming family they felt opening Farmstrong Cider Company was the perfect fit.

“We had this great historic building that we wanted to preserve, it’s a 120-year-old barn and we wanted to create a venue and something unique for people,” Fried said.

The cider company is a family-run business, with almost the entire family working on the farm day in and day out.

“Everyday we wake up and we work with the people we love,” she said. “We have three of our four boys working with us full-time.”

“We really wanted to share farming with people who come in every day.”

Not only does the farm sell a variety of homemade ciders they also have a great food menu which features woodfire pizzas, sandwiches and cheese and charcuterie boards.

The relaxed atmosphere of the trendy, renovated barn is the perfect place to hang out and play some card games with friends, or go to on a romantic date.

The cidery will close down for the winter months on the Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Next year they plan to expand their food and cider menu, as well as host monthly events.
