Great Estates Okanagan has announced the opening date for its new wine experience centre in Penticton.

The Great Estates Wine Experience Centre will throw open the doors on Saturday, Sept. 22. It will serve as a hub for visitors to learn more about the South Okanagan’s wines and wineries, which includes Black Sage Vineyard, Inniskillin, Nk’Mip Cellars, Jackson-Triggs, Sunrock Vineyards, Dark Horse, Steller’s Jay, See Ya Later Ranch and Sumac Ridge.

The centre is located in downtown Penticton and will offer a variety of daily tastings and educational seminars. It will feature three distinct tasting areas and is also available for private functions.

The tasting bar will rotate wine selections daily and offer four tastings for a $10 fee, which will be refunded with a purchase of $50 or more.

The centre will be open in the summer from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and in the winter from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
