Kelowna rent got cheaper in July, and as a result the city dropped one spot in the national ranking of most expensive cities in that department.

The cost of a one-bedroom apartment remained at $1,160, which dropped Kelowna from eighth to ninth among Canada’s 25 most expensive cities in which to rent. PadMapper tracked the data.

The average rent for a two-bedroom apartment in Kelowna was the one that fell from June to July. Last month’s price was $1,550, which represented a 1.9 per cent drop.

Kelowna’s two-bedroom rate has dropped 3.1 per cent since last year at this time, and it is the only one among the current top 16 most expensive cities in which that has occurred.
