Summerland’s Okanagan Crush Pad has added two new winemakers to its lineup in time for harvest season.

Steve Latchford and Lynzee Schatz will assist head winemaker Matt Dumayne. Latchford, who was born in Prince Edward County, Ont., will manage custom crush client wines, while Schatz, a Kelowna native, will oversee sparking wine production.

Latchford has spent the last decade in the Okanagan, working for various wineries on the Naramata bench. Schatz earned a bachelor of wine science from Australia’s Charles Sturt University before returning to Canada in 2014.

The two new members will be replacing departing newlyweds Jordan Kubek and Tyler Knight, who, along with Ron Kubek, will soon be opening their own winery in Summerland.
