Blizzards for a good cause

If you ever needed an excuse to buy ice cream, today is the day.

It’s Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen, when 100 per cent of the proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network.

It’s the busiest day of the year for the DQ on Gordon Drive in Kelowna.

“Well, it’s special. This is definitely the most special day of the year for our store, for all the staff. Everybody is excited, everybody is happy to be here and to promote the children’s hospital,” general manager Daniel Joseph said.

“I suspect we will make over one thousand Blizzards today,” he added.

The Gordon Drive DQ location is open until 10 p.m.
