The City of West Kelowna wants to talk pot.

The city is looking for your feedback on possible restrictions on retail cannabis shops.

A survey is available online at the city’s website, while paper copies can be picked up at city hall.

West Kelowna is in the process of amending current bylaws to coincide with the legalization of non-medical cannabis.

Municipalities in the province have been given the authority to regulate some aspects around the sale of cannabis, including licensing, hours of operation, zoning and distances between stores, parks and schools.

The city also has the ability to determine where smoking and vaping may be allowed in public.

The deadline for completing the survey is July 31.
