A member of the Prospera Credit Union board of directors has won an Association of Women in Finance PEAK Award.

Angela Kaiser was given the award for her “significant board contribution.”

The award is given each year to female finance professionals who made “meaningful, outstanding, and unique contributions to the board that they work on; have shown significant leadership, oversight, and stewardship on their board; and have seen the board they work with progress during their involvement.”

Kaiser has been a member of the Prospera board since 2001, serving as audit chair from 2004-2009, vice-chair from 2008-2010, and board chair from 2010-2015.

“We congratulate Angela for winning the Significant Board Contribution Award at this year’s PEAK Awards,” said Eric Nadin, Prospera’s board chair. “In her 18 years as a director, she has proved to be a valuable member of the team and always looks out for the best interests of our members. We are proud to have her represent us and look forward to her contributions in the future.”

The Association of Women in Finance is a group of finance professionals dedicated to supporting the advancement of women in finance.

AWF’s PEAK Awards have honoured “talented, respected and deserving women and men who combine professional excellence with a passionate commitment to championing women in the workplace and make a positive impact on B.C.’s finance community” for more than two decades.
