The most desired Airbnb rentals in the Okanagan Valley are a Summerland carriage house and a guesthouse in Cawston.

In a recently released report on North America’s top wine regions, the vacation rental website highlights the two most sought-after listings in the Okanagan Valley, as well as some local statistics from 2017.

The company says Airbnb hosts in the Okanagan made a combined $16,732,025 in 2017 as they served nearly 126,000 visitors.

And while there is definite international interest in the Okanagan, Airbnb’s data shows most visitors still originate from closer to home.

The report shows its Okanagan hosts served more visitors from Vancouver than any other city. Second on the list of Top 5 origin cities was Calgary, followed by Edmonton, Surrey, and Kelowna.

The 125,857 guests that stayed in Airbnbs in 2017 paid an average of $141 a night for their stays and hung around for an average of 2.69 days.

The Summerland Carriage house, which is located just off Highway 97, right now rents for $129 a night. The Harvest Moon Guest House, which the owners describe as a “beautiful log house … on the base of the desert mountains,” costs guests $300 a night.
