The Paisley Notebook’s Aman Dosanj is back again this year with her lauded local dinner series.

Sourced is a pop-up dinner experience, taking place across the Okanagan this summer, that “is re-imagining what it means to eat with hyper-local dinners that tell one edible story at a time.”

Each dinner features a surprise menu, crafted using seasonally available foods to show off the diversity of the valley. The idea, Dosanj says, is to serve restaurant-quality food unexpected places.

“Put simply, I tell stories with food and the idea is to get people thinking about where their food comes from,” Dosanj says.

While the Okanagan is very tourist-centric during the summer, Dosanj says her Sourced dinners focus on locals.

“There are so many businesses that only focus on a sense of community during the off-season, so I wanted to flip that. Following the seasons, each outdoor dinner is completely unique because each farm or host location is different, so I get to play whilst telling their story,” she says.

Recently, the Sourced series was a Top 3 finalist in the“Remarkable Experiences” category at the 2018 BC Tourism Industry Awards.

This season will feature seven dinners, happening from Enderby and Grindrod to Kelowna and Penticton.

Each will feature a local food producer as a guest, and award-winning bartender Harry Dosanj will be on hand serving up farm-inspired cocktails, local craft beer and Okanagan wines.
