True Leaf Medicine will present at the seventh-annual MicroCap Conference in New York.

The Okanagan cannabis company says its founder, Darcy Bomford, will present to investors “on the True Leaf story,” as well as join a cannabis investing panel featuring “industry thought leaders.”

The MicroCap Conference is an exclusive event that aims to connect small and micro-cap companies with high-level institutional and retail investors.

This year’s conference will highlight “the most attractive companies across various sectors.”

Along with bringing in more than 120 companies, organizers say there will be several expert panels and speakers that will present to the audience.

Bomford says the event will be a good opportunity for True Leaf, which is in the midst of a significant expansion.

The company recently tapped Dr. Chris Spooner to head up a new, a three-member medical advisory board, and last month hired Stephen Schroeder and Christian Zofchak to lead the development of its medicinal cannabis products.

True Leaf has been manufacturing cannabis pet chews for years and recently received permission from Health Canada to build its True Leaf Campus cannabis cultivation facility, which it broke ground for on March 2.

The 25,000 square foot facility is expected to be completed in late summer 2018.

True Leaf is also in the final stages of Health Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations process.

Bomford says he will be at the MicroCap Conference from April 9-10, at the Essex House in New York.
