There could soon be another significant development in Kelowna’s Glenmore neighbourhood.

Ocorp Development has asked the city to approve the form and character of three five-storey apartments it wants to build on a two-and-a-half acre lot on Drysdale Blvd.

According to plans submitted to the city, the buildings would max out at 16.3 metres high, and together contain 175 apartments.

All three buildings are approximately the same size and would be arranged in a rough “c” shape around a central parking lot covering about 43 per cent of the lot.

Each would house five bachelor units and 10 one-bedroom units. Two would contain 45 the-bedroom units, while the last would house 40.

To accommodate all those new homes, the development would feature 195 stalls of underground parking and another 54 stalls in a parking lot.

City council has yet to weigh in on the development, but if it is approved it would be another significant development in the Glenmore area.

Already new to the area are a 111-unit development at Kane and Valley roads, the Grove townhouse development, and a second townhouse project across from Dr. Knox middle school, plus the Memory Care facility.
