What business or organization are you involved with? The Canadian School of Ballet.
What is your role with that organization? Taylor is a teacher and choreographer; and this year we are choreographing the party scene in The Nutcracker together.
What’s your favourite thing about living in the Okanagan? The Okanagan is beautiful all year round. The people are wonderful and there is so much to do no matter the season (such as coming to The Nutcracker in December).
If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would you choose and why? Crystal Pite, the artistic director of Kidd Pivot. She is one of our biggest inspirations choreographically.
What’s your go-to happy place? Taylor’s parents cabin. They’ve only had it for three years but every time we go there we feel like we can relax and recharge. It’s also nice to spend time together, and with family and friends, and not worry about work.
What are you most proud of? What we are most proud of right NOW is the fact that we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to choreograph a new party scene for The Canadian School of Ballet’s The Nutcracker. It’s been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun, and we’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1-Travel;
2-Dance another duet together;
3-Replace our basement carpets…HA.
Latest movie or book? A Nutcracker Christmas. We both love made-for-TV Christmas movies.
What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? Well, we recently got engaged, so that was pretty awesome gift we gave to each other.
If today were your last day, how would you spend it? Together with our families, eating lots of food and drinking lots of
wine and beer.
