The Forest Green Man Lavender Farm in Naramata will cease operations after the Thanksgiving weekend.

Owners Doug Mathias and Karolina Born-Tschuemperlin announced the news online that they had sold their farm.

“The new owners will keep the land as is, but will no longer farm lavender like we did,” the owners announced on MyNaramata.

There had been rumours of the farmland potentially being bought to be developed, but the outgoing owners said those rumblings “are herewith officially debunked.”

The pair added that they expect to continue selling their products, and are looking for a place to set up shop in Naramata.

The farm will continue to be open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., until Oct. 8th.
