The Salvation Army of the Central Okanagan is putting together thrift and fashion with its Army Rouge fashion show.

“In February we launched our first ever fashion show. We sold out of tickets and had the most fun evening ever,” says Patty Lou Bryant, a communications coordinator with the Salvation Army.

“We are thrilled to be back,” Bryant said, adding that this time the show will be in a bigger venue, with 300 tickets available. The first 150 tickets all come with a free swag bag.

The fashion show will feature three different sections–casual wear, work attire and a formal outfit, and Bryant explains the goal is to show the audience that thrift shopping offers unique clothing at amazing prices.

“Most of our outfits will be under $25 and look absolutely spectacular,” she says.

The show will also feature a silent auction, featuring more than 50 designer items— many with a suggested retail price upwards of $500.

This is a great opportunity to buy a high-end item, look fabulous and help The Salvation Army Central Okanagan.”

Tickets for Army Rouge are $20 for adults and $10 for students with valid ID; they are available at Salvation Army thrift stores in Westbank, Sutherland Avenue and Rutland.

The show will take place at the Capri Hotel in Kelowna on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m.
