Name: Luke Cooke.

What business or organization are you involved with? Remarked.

What is your role with that organization? Co-Founder.

What’s your favourite thing about living in the Okanagan? The Okanagan Centre for Innovationand the development of the tech scene here.

If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would you choose and why? Mark Zuckerberg. To discover if he is human, or simply a product of Machine Learning and the Internet of Things.

What’s your go-to happy place? The water. Whether it’s wakeboarding, surfing or cliff jumping, I am always happy on the water.

What are you most proud of? Starting a growing company with two of my best friends.

What are the top three things on your bucket list?
1. Watching a baseball game at Wrigley Field;
2. Surf Pipeline – on the North Shore of Oahu;
3. Produce software that benefits lives across the globe.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? This summer I made a poached rhubarb. Instead of using sugar to poach it, I used a bucket of Fuzzy Peaches. I’m not someone to take a recipe from and, unfortunately, this case was not an exception.

Latest movie or book? The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. A must-read for adolescents, young-adults, and adults.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? I was ecstatic with two gifts I received this year: a coffee plant and a hacky sack. However, it was more about the actual love and friendship than each of the gifts themselves.

If today were your last day, how would you spend it? No differently. I’ve got amazing people in my life and I’m learning to be content with the incredible life that was crafted for me to step into.
