Job fair at YMCA

The YMCA of the Central Okanagan will host a job fair later this month, dedicated solely to filling a swath of positions in its organization.

Cassandra Thomas, the organization’s employee and volunteer engagement specialist, says the fair will be an “excellent opportunity” for job seekers to explore options at the YMCA.

She says the organizations is looking to fill “a variety of positions,” from entry level to management.

“Whether you have an extensive resume or are looking for your first job, we have a diverse range of careers in a variety of fields with excellent growth opportunities,” she says.

She encourages job seekers to come prepared with a resume on hand, and be ready to talk about their skills. Multiple YMCA hiring managers will be on site during the event in hopes of finding great people to join their teams.

Right now, the YMCA of Okanagan has a variety of full-time, part-time and casual positions available in the fields of child care, administration, member services, management, maintenance, aquatics, and health and fitness.

YMCA employees receive benefits such as YMCA gym and pool memberships to multiple locations, family YMCA memberships, flexible work schedules, vacation time, and extended health and dental insurance.

The job fair will take place July 29,  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kelowna Family Y, located at 375 Hartman Rd. For more information visit the YMCA online.
