New head chef at Eldorado

Chef Vincent Stufano has joined Hotel Eldorado as the hotel’s new executive chef.
Prior to his new position the Montreal-born Stufano worked as the executive chef for the Fairmont Chateau Whistler,
Stufano began his career in the kitchen studying at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where he developed his own unique flair and style.
Over his career, he has cooked at Chez Danielle, La Belle Auberge, as well as The Pan Pacific and The Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
A Certified Chef de Cuisine, Stufano has made a guest chef appearance at two Michelin Star restaurants: La Gavroche in London, and the Five Diamond Grand Amsterdam Hotel, in Holland.
He has also competed multiple times at the World Culinary Olympics and Bocuse d’Or Canada.
Stufano’s culinary philosophy and passion reflects the growing trend towards a healthier and down-to- earth lifestyle. Working with neighboring farmers to seek out local, organic produce.
Stufano says his preference is to allow the natural flavour of the food to express itself.
“We are very excited to have one of Canada’s great chefs to help us with our future vision at Hotel Eldorado and to lead our culinary team”, said Thom Killingsworth, the chief operating officer. “It’s an absolute thrill to be able to work with Chef Stufano again, and a coup for Kelowna’s culinary scene.”
