The Landmark Centre is about to get a whole lot sweeter.

The centre’s newest tenant, QB Gelato, officially opens its doors tomorrow, and the family-run shop is hoping to “brighten up the eating scene of the Landmark Centre and surrounding area,” with small-batch, hand-crafted gelato.

Owners Kevin Bojda and Victor Laderoute, who both studied the “art and science” of gelato in Italy, said the business was born out of a “passion for the classic artistry of this time-honoured Italian dessert.”

The pair have dreamed about creating a unique gelato shop for years, and say they are incredibly excited to show off their craft to the world.

Their gelato is hand-made daily in small batches, using only fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Because it’s made fresh each day, it has a maximum shelf life of 72 hours, “to ensure the freshest, creamiest and most delicious product possible.”

Bojda and Laderoute are so excited that, from 1-10 p.m. June 17, they’ll be offering free scoops of their most delectable flavours.

In honour of their grand opening the pair will also award one lucky person who liked and shared their Facebook page a free half-litre portion of Gelato every week for a year.

The winner will be announced during the grand opening, at QB’s new location at 1884 Dayton Street.
