A Kelowna company attracted the attention of some serious investors recently, when it received $150,000 in venture capital investment.

Perfit Dental Solutions Inc. received the investment from the entrepreneur-led venture capital corporation Atrium Ventures, which is known for investing in promising new technology companies in British Columbia.

Perfeit is aiming to disrupt the global denture industry by taking the labour-intensive, 100-year-old denture making process and digitizing it. Prior to Atrium’s  investment, there was already some serious buzz surrounding Perfit, with the company being named to the 2017 Ready to Rocket Lists.

“We believe the timing is right for Perfit. The denture industry is ripe for disruption, the team has tremendous experience and are quickly becoming recognized as key opinion leaders throughout the industry, not only in Canada but throughout the US and Europe as well,” said Jeff Keen, the managing director at Atrium.  “We are very excited about their future.”

Steve Cowburn, the co-founder of Perfit, said he is thrilled with the investment.

“We’re incredibly lucky as a business where the products we make have an instant and life-changing impact on our patients. Our calling is to help people smile and this investment will enable us to accelerate our growth in the Canadian market,” he said.
