The YMCA Cycle for Strong Kids is in its 11th year and still running strong.

Participants will take part in a 45-minute stationary cycle on May 28 to raise money for underprivileged children and youth in Kelowna.

“With a high number of families in the Central Okanagan living in poverty, we rely on the generosity of local residents and businesses to ensure the health and vitality of our children today and into the future,” said Rhonda Zakala, general manager of Fund Development for the YMCA of Okanagan.

All of the money raised will give the children an opportunity to participate in YMCA child care, day camps, aquatics, employment readiness and before and after school enrichment programs.

Last year, YMCA Cycle for Strong Kids had more than 300 participants and raised more than $100,000.
