Civic award finalists named

After weeks of discussion and debate, the field for Kelowna’s annual civic awards has been set.

The three finalists in each of the 17 categories was announced during Monday’s city council meeting.

“It was a difficult task narrowing down finalists as we had some exceptional submissions in each of the award categories for 2016,” said spokesperson Mariko Siggers.

“These are the people, the businesses and organizations that work hard to make our city a great place to live and we’re excited to recognize these leaders in our community.”

Finalists include:

The 42nd annual Civic and Community Awards will be held May 10 at the Kelowna Community Theatre.
