Joust about charity
Some medieval fun is in store at the eighth annual JCI Hospital Gala and Charity Auction April 22 at the Vernon Lodge.
Organizers promise guests will step back in time at the event, sponsored by MNP LLP and Nixon Wenger LLP.
“This year’s JCI hospital gala will be incredible,” said Paul Philps, event co-chair. “It’s an opportunity for people to experience a medieval celebration with a few surprises thrown in.”
The evening is all for a good cause, in support of the purchase of cardiac equipment to be used when transporting patients to the Kelowna General Hospital cardiac care unit. It will also allow staff to assist patients, while being safely belted in.
“We are proud to say we have raised over $325,000 to date for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation,” said John Dent, event co-chair. “Through continued community support, we look forward to watching that number grow.”
Businesses, community groups and individuals have an opportunity to contribute by donation of silent auction items and through buying tickets.
Those interested can email organizers or call 250-307-1737.
