Why the pink?

You may have seen a bright pink van cruising the streets of Kelowna recently. The “chariot” belongs to Border Plumbing, and acts as a symbol for the company’s commitment to its community.

Last October Border “pinked out” its company in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Now, because of “positive feedback” and “positive energy” the initiative produced, the company has taken the initiative to the next level.

“To be able to serve our community would not just be an houour, we feel it’s our duty to do so,” owners Joe and Lynda Geralomi wrote in a statement.

In that spirit, each month Border Plumbing will ask one of its team members to choose a local organization for the company to support.

Whether that support comes in the form of money, material or labour, Joe and Lynda said they hope to make the community a little bit better.
