Seven Okanagan artists will create art from the heart for a good cause on Thursday.

The third annual ART Attack event raises money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Original paintings will be created right before your eyes.

“We have ongoing amazing support from many Okanagan artists – Alex Fong, Leanne Spanza, Cynthia Gunsinger and Jolene Mackie are taking part once again this year. And we are quite excited about the new artists – Eric Blais, Christina Leinemann Knittel and Ann Wilsie, who are participating,” says community development co-ordinator Wendy Wright.

Each artist has just one hour to create a piece that will then be live auctioned in support of the charity.

Last year’s event saw an Alex Fong original sell for more than $750, while others were snapped up for as little as $150.

ART Attack takes place at Kelowna Heritage Loft, 201 – 339 Bernard Ave., in Kelowna.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20 at the Heart and Stroke office, 4 – 1551 Sutherland Ave., or at the door.

February is Heart Month, with events taking place across the country.
