For the second year, the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame has made a sizable donation to the Breakfast Learning Club in Penticton.

The program feeds kids at Columbia, Queen’s Park and West Bench Elementary schools.

Hall of Fame Executive Director Bruce Judd said they also sponsor the hockey program in one of the schools, “and through talking with one of the principals of the schools, they told us how many kids come to school without breakfast.”

Judd said the Hall of Fame board decided the program would be a good destination for the $3,000 they have managed to raise through “chuck-a-puck” at Penticton Vees’ games.

The breakfast program is run by volunteers and supported entirely by donations.
